Blue Lapis Lazuli Arabic Prayer Beads
This blue lapis lazuli Arabic prayer beads is composed of 33 beads in round shape. The bead size measures 11 x 11 mm, 23 cm in length, and weighs 31.20 grams. The Shaheed and the Karkousha are made of silver. This prayer beads was purchased by RAF during his Turkey trip on 06 - 12 October 2016.
Lapis lazuli or simply lapis is a blue metamorphic rock that has been used by people as a gemstone, sculpting material, and ornamental material for thousand of years. Unlike most gems, lapis is not a mineral. Instead, it is a rock composed of multiple minerals. The blue color of lapis lazuli is mainly derived from the presence of lazurite, a blue silicate mineral of the sodalite group.
